Twas the Night Before X-Mas @ UV

Twas the Night before X-Mas and all through UV,
No busses were running; it was calm as could be.

The Activity Center had closed, no more tanning tonight,
A fresh winter’s snow was almost in sight.

When out on the road of Stadium Drive, Landed a sleigh led by deer,
and man so happy, so alive!

He looked all around…at all of UV,
And whispered “Stadium, Stinchcomb, St. Johns then Harley…”

And just like that they took off so gentle yet swift,
Stopping at each building, leaving the residents a gift.

The gifts weren’t in packages or boxes with a bow,
But gave off a warm feeling and had a slight glow.

With each stop he made, he left but not a note,
And on each one, something different he wrote.

As he wrote each word, he whispered it aloud,
And in doing so each time, he looked almost proud.

They each had one word, or a short little phrase,
One read “Love”, another “Peace”, and another read “Joy in all Days”.

For one he said “Family”, for another I heard “Best Friend”,
His messages of gifts was so clear in the end…

With these gifts, the size and expense is not what its about,
But how truly important the things are that we can’t live without.

So this holiday season, with good tidings and great cheer,
Be thankful for what matters, and look forward to another great year!

From all us at UV, have a safe and Happy Holiday Season!
