Woodruff and 17th Avenues Close 5/23 – UV Shuttle Change Begins

UV Shuttle Changes Beginning Monday, May 23, 2011
Beginning May 23rd, UV Shuttle routes that normally use Woodruff Avenue will be rerouted around the construction. This construction will continue throughout summer quarter 2011. The summer quarter UV Shuttle change will be as follows.  Stop #2 at Woodruff & Tuttle Park is now closed.  Our new Stop #2 will be at CABS Stop 902 in front of Cockins Hall on Neil & 18th.  Stop #3 will remain the same at 17th and College Ave. 

Please be patient as the shift in traffic, delays and closures could result in the UV Shuttle being a little behind.  We will do our best to keep you informed and up-to-date as changes occur.  New CABS Detour Map

Roadway Impacts Beginning Monday, May 23, 2011

17th Avenue Impacts
17th Ave. will be closed between Neil Avenue and College Road. Eastbound 17th Ave. traffic and affected CABS buses will be rerouted north on Neil Ave. and eastward along 18th Ave. All parking will be removed from this section of 17th Ave. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained parallel to the street and at the existing crosswalks throughout the duration of construction.

Woodruff Avenue Impacts
Woodruff Avenue will be closed between Tuttle Park Place and College Road. Traffic and affected CABS buses will be rerouted westward along Curl Drive. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained parallel to the street and at the existing crosswalks throughout the duration of construction.

Note: The full length of 18th Avenue will be utilized for detoured eastbound bus traffic. Due to the volume of anticipated bus and vehicular traffic, all parking has been removed from 18th Ave. for the duration of the construction effort.
